Default need a little help

Hey all i have 98 civic dx coupe that has a jdm b20 gsr tranny it has been converted to obd2 with a 98 ls integra ecu. Car is shaved and tucked with a larger fuel line. Car ran fine with no cel i changed the fuel pump to a walboro 255. I started it up and got down the road then the car bogged at acc. and wot. We got it idled up to get it home, i put the stock fuel pump back in and it idles fine now but it still bogs if you hit the gas. Any suggestions would be great thanks in advance.

Why do yo need a larger fuel pump if the old one ran fine?

I figured since the fuel line was larger....6an i think... i needed something stronger and i had the walboro(new) i figured i try it. Then it started bogging, since then ive changed back to stock pump and changed the plugs with no change

Check fuel pressure.

Check FPR.

Size of fuel line does not effect pressure, it would only effect voluum.

I would want to see why you need to prime 3 times to start the engine, so if pumps are good, the problem may be the PGM-FI Main Relay, bad contacts on the fuel pump relay and pump not getting full current.

A fuel pressure gauge mounted to the fuel filter will let you see if you loose fuel pressure when engine is off, [bad check valve] or what fuel pressure goes to when you prime once, twice, and 3 times.

Keep in mind, the PGM-FI Main Relay also supplies power to the injectors, [injector relay] bad contacts on it my be preventing injectors form getting full power. 94

Could i run the gauge on the rail? Im running a inline filter to a an line on my tuck so id have to get a t-fitting for that. Ill check the relays when i get home and see if they are clean

this concept of volume is out of the question. since you do have a larger line this pump might need a few more primes than normal to bring all that up to pressure. check your grounds off the pump and power coming in. the smaller pump might had enough but now since you switched.

Pressure should not drop in the first place, unless there is a problem with the check valve. 94

Er. Why do you need to order a tee for the fuel line?

OP does not have a stock filter, OP is using an inline filter because of a tuck.94

I disagree, pumps don't create pressure, they move a set volume and pressure is created by adding resistance. If you took a fuel pump that flowed a volume of 200 lph, and plumbed it into the fuel system of a stock civic or what ever with stock sized fuel lines, it would flow enough and have enough resistance against it to get you the standard 40ish psi of fuel pressure, but if you plumbed that same pump with 1" lines, it would not be able to maintain 40psi of fuel pressure because it would no longer have enough resistance for the volume of fuel it flowed.

thats what i was saying, but i guess the short distance of 6an line really didnt make a difference. Im running around 43-45psi at idle and 52ish psi at wot but i do have a fpr and adjusted it to get these numbers.....well to get the idle psi the wot is what it is lol

not having problem since I changed ecu but I have to go get it inspected before I can drive it. any idea of a faulty sensor that a 98 ls ecu would read? what is the sensor sitting on top of the intake?

Did you check the code and see what it was?

Sensor on top of the intake would be the IAT. Intake air temperature.

The white sensor is the IAT. Post up a picture of what the hell you are talking about. This bit of guessing isn't going to get us very far.

While your doing that, pull the code for the CEL and let us know what it was for.
