I made a diagnosis on my car and found out my fuel trim problems are due to a bad ECM. I have a 00 SI and I need a used ECM. My question is, will I need a vin number when using a used an OEM 00 SI ECM. I know that the dealership tries to adquire information from the ECM they need to enter the vin number, I just don't know if the vin is programmed to the ECM. I am out of my 8/80,000 mile emissions warranty and my computer problems are no longer covered. Any input would be greatly appreciated
