i just put a mild built type r in my 96 dx hatch, iam using a step down harness to obd1 and a stock p28, my fuel presure is at 40psi but for some reason when i press the gas it bogss, and takes 3 to 4 seconds to rev and the same amount to stop even if my foot is not on the gas anymore, i did the iacv trick n i dont know wat else it can be, my o2 is not plug in, but besides that what can be doin this, help asap.

 

Are you sure the timing is right? I have seen a timing belt off a tooth, the car would bog in the low end, then when the rpms get up it starts to run normal. I would check that first, also double check your ignition timing.

 

i checked the timing and redid it, everything seems fine, but wen i lean the gas it runs n when i put it at proper ratio it bogs out

 

have you tried hooking up the o2? The ecu needs a o2 reading to properly adjust fuel.

 

just tried that today still does the same thing, some people told me i have to get a chip ecu, so the p28 is not enough to make it drive????

 

do you have a check engine light?

 

yeah but the o2 is not pluged in so i thougth it was that, i got a ex harness and it still does the same thing they told me i might have to get a chiped ecu cuz the single cam p28 wont send enough gas.
