Default need help on transmission problem

I have a civic swaped with a 2000 b18c with gsr transmission. There is a problem only with the 1st gear and the rest of the gear are fine. 3 out of 10 time I could not **** to 1st gear, sometime I either like hit a wall or half way stop on the gear. Please give some advice on what causes it. Thanks

As far as I know the only way to tell if its a shift fork is to open it up and take a look.. Bent/broken shift forks do some strange things..

i have never seen a bent shift fork out of about 30 broken trannies. actually i did and all three were bent cuz the tranny was dropped several feet off a forklift . on your changer/selector mechanism which moves the shift forks up and down, they are just thin metal tabs...you have three for the three forks (1/2, 3/4, and 5/R). 1/2 and 5/R (ones on the outsides) are the easiest and only ones that can actually bend. your 1/2 tab is bent out of whack. it would be obvious if you opened it up and looked at it.
