Default Need Help with SMOG...

Anyone here in SAN DIEGO AREA do SMOG CHECK...i can't pass emmission, I have a 92 Si hatch with a 92 DX motor, DX ecu, all wires are there, all sensors are there, running 2 catlic convertor and timing is correct 16 degree stock....its just regular smog check....i need smog certificate....i took the car to a shop and the mechanic guy put the sniffer into the exhuast and said that my car is blowing out too much carbon dioxide...so he said that if I smog the cars he knows its gonna failed...so i decided not too smog... can ANYONE HELPE....please email me ASAP... you'd be lucky to get that info via the web... best bet is to visit your local tuner shops to get this kinda info... last time I heard, dirty smogs go from 300-500 bucks...
