need help .. no vtec engagment
i'm getting pressure at stock pressure sensor in back of block 30psi at idle nad 50+ at higher rpm's. so the pumps fine i just put in a new 2000 type r oil pump..
vtec wont engage.. i manually clicked on the solonoid (with 12v) and then check pressure at oil check near solonoid. and nothing.. my pressure sensor is wokring and i hear the solonoid clicking.
i then took off vtec mechanism and pumped car to see if oil comes out and it pours out on cranking the motor. (no dist. hooked up) so what other options are there? can the mechanical end of the vtech mechanism be bad?? has anyone run into this problem before? i do get oil in the head but cant read any at check spot on head.

i just finished rebuilding the motor. so i had the head off. but there was nothing that was blocking any ports or anything... plus i do get oil cmoing out of the hole that goes into the vtech mechanism, i took it off cranked the motor over and oil was flowing out ... but just seems like doesnt go through the vtech solonoid..
