Default need help with my vtec problem on jdm b16

i did a jdm b16 swap in my 99 civic after i got the motor in i drove it and the speedometer wasnt workin i narrowed it down to the signal wire on the vss sensor so i ran a new wire from the sensor to the back of the cluster and now my speedo works but still no vtec could someone help me and let me know what i can do to fix this

did you wire the vtec up right? hows the solenoid?

the car is a 99 ex so it had vtec already but when i did the swap i converted it to obd1 with the harness and the jumper harness when i first started it the tach didnt work either but on the drivers side by the shock mount theres a blue wire for the tach so i ran it there.will i have to rewire the vtec cause the car it came out of everything worked in that car.
