k so i got this jdmd15b and it had a cut harness on the vtec solenoid there is a wire that is a single wire coming out of the solenoid it is attached to a clip but just a lose(single wire white or grey i forget) wire does n e one know what this is for and what should i do with it or plug it into......

that should be connected to the ecu either via stock harness or hardwired. it wont cause it not to run, but vtec wont engage if its not hooked up. sounds like someone swapped the motor into the non vtec chassis and didnt wire vtec.
