It seems that almost every time i push my rpms above 6k and shift into third gear i hear an almost grinding sound. Sometimes fairly loud but it still goes into gear. I have been told it could be my syncro. I figure anything having to do with my transmission will be a costly repair and I don't really have the extra money to throw around. Does anybody know what this might be?

 

im pretty sure its ur sycros since its in the high rpm range..if u want u can get a set of syncros 1,2,3,4,5, R for $189-$199 i think..if u want cheaper u can get 2,3,4 or 3,4,5 for like $99 from gearspeed.com
