Default Need help for my new n/a Setup

Hi

I´ve bought my new B16A2 last week and I want to order my parts before I place it in the car. I wanna buy the following parts:

-TODA Cams Spec C
-TODA 82.00 Pistons
-TODA Valve Springs
-Mugen Head Gasket +0.4
-Spoon Cam Gears
-Mugen 4-1 Header
-Skunk or JG Intake Manifold
-Spoon High Tension Plug Wires
-AEM Fuel Rail

What do you think about this setup?
If anybody have some experiences with one or more of this parts, please let me know!
What about the compression..........12.3:1 .......is it too high

Many thanks in advance

Manuel

No special purpose!
I have a 91´ Civic EE9 (B16A1 Stock Engine) for daily use and I want to build up a race car for the weekends!
Here in germany we don´t have 1/4 mile competitions but I love n/a tuned cars! And now I want to know what kind of setup you race-proven pro´s drive.

I would ditch the Toda pistons , mugen header , spoon wires , AEM fuel rail....

oh yeah I'd ditch the 1.6 bottom end too.
at least go 84mm bore pistons
you dont need an aftermarket fuel rail
mugen header isnt that good
spoon wires are a total waste of money

OK, you´re right with the Fuel Rail and the wires, but what type of header you would prefer? 4-2-1 or 4-1

Get Endyn Rollerwaves instead of the pricey TODA pistons, less $ for a perfect piston, IMO.
Screw the Mugen head gasket, get a stock thickness Cometic or SCE, unless you are getting a deal on the Mugen joint.
Look into another type of big dollar header if ya got the loot for the Mugen one, like HyTech, SMS, or even the almost affordable JG/Edelbrock.
Forget the Skunk mani, get the JG or better yet, extrude hone your stock one, and use all the money you are saving from my suggestions and get the head ported and polished.
Run NGK blue wires, you are on MDMA if you get the Spoon wires.
Fuel rail for your app:

ahahhaha that is exactly what i was gonna say. in that order too!!!

with all that you listed just get some jun3, lighten flywheel, afc, intake, exhust & JG edlebrock headers or toda headers.

@GTI!
First of all many thanks for these info´s. Can you give me the url from a store who sends parts to germany? I had a phone call with the guys at IPS Racing and they don´t ship oversea! And the most parts at the NOPI-store were Crower and JE!

So, I think the Spec C Cams were a good (but expensive) deal but what about the compression? Should I raise it with the pistons only?

MDMA????? No Drugs, just unleaded

pistons are your best bet for raising compression: flat face valves are spensive, labor intensive and yield like 1/4 point gain in cr, milling head is ghetto, cc werk is expensive and labor intesive as well, and cams that have less overlap so you can keep high dynamic compression are not good for NA, you need the overlap. Search on the internet or on this board for the inroads to get what you need shipped to germany; i know endyn (www.theoldone.com) itself will ship overseas, the other products are available for overseas customers, i just dont know off the top of my head where to start looking.

whatever u do, dont go with the jg for n/a. use jdm ctr pistons and go with manley/crower valves, valve springs and retainers. they are good for the money and quality........ 4-1 headers i believe make more power.

@GTI
Many Thanks again!
Endyn has a fantastic product range, but I couldn´t find any prices! I have sent a mail, so let´s hope for response.

@fukaintmuven
y not the jg and what´s ur proposal?
Some of my friends used a crower setup in their ITR´s! 2 of them changed to JUN.
What´s your experience?
