haha yeah,
ever use those sockets made for rounded bolts?
i think you can buy a set at most auto parts stores for less than $20.

center tap the head of the bolt, drill it and knock the head off with a chisle

just grind off the head of the bolt with a burr bit and remove the starter. the rest of the bolt should be easy to remove.

Another way in general would be to grind a gripping surface for an wrench or what not by taking a grinder/dremel to the bolt and grinding down 2 sides.

by grinding the grayed areas off leaving the bolt to look somewhat like the right drawing, could help on lots of bolt types. Might end up ripping the bolt head off due to the weakening of it. but another way here would be what everyone else is saying to just take the head off and deal with the stud. Just posting cause this has helped me a LOT of times... few though made it harder.

i've had this happen to a customer's car i went and bought a round off socket tool set at sears for like $30 they'll take out any strip bolts or nuts and i've made a **** load of money off them so i would suggest going to get that, i'll sale you my set! for $20!! don't need it anymore since i bought some new sockets from MACTools that are sweet, or go with Rigginit there thats a good way but dont cut any of your wires...

I was gonna try that but the shop down the street said they would take it out for
15$ so I said why not - I still think I will buy that set from sears next week just to keep around
