Need help with ignition...thinking about going DIS
Going to be using AEM EMU and AEM CDI, coil on plug, car is a 2000 civic si.
My question.....I don't have a distributor for this car yet. If I go with the coil on plug deal, do I have to have the distributor? or is there a way around it? I know the coil on plug needs a sensor (cam or crank) to operate (built into the distributor). I'm just wondering if there is another way to do it other than buying a distributor.
The engine I am using is actually 97 b18a, b16a head if that helps at all. I tried to search and tried e-mailing AEM with no results from either. Can anyone help me here?

Haven't gotten any answers to this as of yet. Need to know if I "HAVE" to use a distributor or not. I may just have to call aem since they don't seam to respond to e-mails very well.
