Default need help identifying a part

look at number 17. If you look at that bolt underneath there is a half circle piece of metal that it bolts onto to head itself. I believe it also bolts to the distributer..WHat is that part called and if possible do you have a part number?

I'm not talking about the bolt.. I'm talking about the part that the bolt goes through. But I think you answered my question.. the part right underneath #17 is that the cam holder? There are two cam holders correct? I need the part number for the one that bolts to the distributer under #17.

I don't think they sell them seperate. They are matched to the head.

exactly what I didn't want to hear!

Only reason I need that part is the top part of mine is broken off where the bolt goes through and attaches to the top of the distributor. Anyone know if it will be ok to ride without the top bolt? I don't want to buy a brand new head just for that part!

You might try asking a machine shop if they can repair it. I had a broken LS cam cap, and they seemed to think they could fix it if need be.
