Default need help with door locks for a 92-95 civic

it will not lock and when i try to slide the lock rod that attaches to the inside handle unit, it will not move. i'm not sure if the source of the problem is the latch on the side of the door that clings on to the door jam. this is the driver's side door.

need some help and suggestions. thank you.

my civic did that also, i just pulled on the door handle (part that u pull that opens doors) about half way, then hit the lock, and slid right in place and locked. if that doesnt work, take off the panel and see whats the matter

To take off panel:

unscrew the one screw in the door handle surround (its up in the corner under the handle latch)

unscrew the one screw on the resting place for your arm (inside the grip you usually grab to open the door)

take out the plastic screw on the panel its self, (you will have to open the door, its hidden by the dash)

lastly take the pin from underneath/behind the window roller, (if tis a DX, if not, nevermind)

then just pull, will make loud unclipping noises, nevermind those, just be gentel and it wont brake.

good luck
