Default NEED HELP car won't start

I was driving normally on the interstate, and the motor just shut off. Tried to restart it...motor turns over but no start.

Sounds to beback firing through the throttle body

Any suggestions?

Set-up is 89 CRX hf with 2001 ITR motor with OBD 0 b16 wiring

sounds like a bad ECU or spark to me

had the same problem in my 89 civic w/swapped motor

why did u use OBD0 wiring in a 01 ITR???

kinda of dumb I would of at least used OBD1 to get the max of power out of that bad boy

I bought the car really cheap the way it is. I was planning on changing over to obd1 with hondata before spring time.

I'll check for spark in the morning. Any tips on checking for a bad ECU? with out swaping ecu's.

only way I can tell u w/o swapping is when u try to crank it

the check light will stay on and won't flash or the ecu if u using obd0 ecu the led on there won't flash to give u a code

that is a simple way to find out

Finally found the problem...Bad bearing on the distriubuter. Looks like the shaft got hot (from the bad bearing??) and melted the rotor button on the shaft.

Guess this will be a good time to upgrade to OBD1

Might post some pics later.
