I just hooked up my tachmeter and it reads about 2-3k higher than my VAFC RPM readings also when i'm driving and reving it up it goes around 360 degrees in circle anyone knows what's wrong is it bad ground or bad connection for the green wire to the distributor??? help me out and thanks for looking.

 

come on somebody had to experience this before...

 

Check you ground and also make certain that you soldered the wire connection for the signal. If you did it at the distributor or by the firewall, either way, make sure it's soldered, otherwise the connection can be bad and cause the tach to short out.
