ok i have a crx with a b18b and i was doing some burn outs ;D and busted the bolts holding the driver side motor mount.. one bolt snapped in half and the other 2 stripped >
-2 top holes i think are stripped cause i found one bolt with shavings and i dont know where the other bolt is.
-bottom hole the bolt snapped in half
??how do i fix this mess. can i just retap the holes??

might be better off buying a new mount, ppl are always selling their old ones here.

 

Try to see if the holes will take the bolts still and your gonna have to get a bolt extracter(sp) and get the bottom one out.How did this happen,where you using the correct bolts for thos mounts?

 

Worst case scenario is you have to take it to a machine shop and have them re-weld up the busted holes then drill and tap for brand new threads. I priced this at around $100 at a local machine shop because I found a ZC in a junk yard with busted mounts on the block.

 

one of the top holes accepted the bolt but the other didnt..i guess i have to retap it. do i have to take it to the machine shop or can i just retap it myself?
