I Have a B16 and I recently installed a itr intake cam, but now I have a problem that only appears in 1st gear after vtec has engaged. Its sounds and feels like the vtec is turning on and off or the rev limiter is kicking in. I have adjusted the timing.
Need help! I can't figure out what it could be.

Plus on the side note my motor has no power; I got beaten by a stock d16a6 at the track. Don't know what’s up. HELP!!!

OK - standard response = SEARCH

but valve lash is hte clearance between the rockers nad hte camshaft lobes which is adjusted with the nuts and screw on top of the rocker arms.

a shop manual would help - but if you search in hte archives im sure there are HEAPS of "how do i adjust valve lash" posts here

(if you dont know what it is - it is most likely your problem...)
