Default Need answer quick pleez help

I have a 97 ITR motor but it came with no waterneck (where the rad hose connects to the cylinder head) and no thermostat housing. So I used the water neck and thermostat housing from a 1st gen B16. Upon further inspection they each have an extra spout coming from them with nowhere to connect them (cause the spouts are not there on a ITR motor). My question is can I just connect the two, or will there be an adverse affect from that? What should I do?

It depends on where they go to. But mainly on the main water line (with the thermostat housing), there is nipples on them to lead to the header core inlet. You mainly want to make sure the coolant flows.

Just depends...

they dont go to anywhere on the motor, as I said I looked at pictures of a type R motor and these nipples aren't there.
