Has anyone ever had stainless steel tubing bent up to make their own exaust. If it is mandrel bent the same pattern as the stock exaust and you use 2-2.25 inch tubing would it work as good as other bought catback exausts(greddy,dc sports,etc.).If it is bent like that and a performance muffler is welded on do you think it would be any good. 95 civic ex.

 

a custom exhaust made out of mandrel bent stainless steel is the same thing that you would buy aftermarket. someone has to make the system either way. the only difference is that you get to choose a different muffler, the size of the pipe, and someone puts in on your car for you while they make it. they will both be just as effective.

 

What size of tubing should be used on my 95 civic ex.

 

make sure you pair up cylinders 1 & 4 and 2 & 3. There was a discussion about which ones to have connected together for maxiumum efficiency of flow.

 

I'm not talking about a header. I am talking about catback exaust. what are you talking about?
