Neeb needs help
Hey guys, since my engine died, I decided to buy some tools and start to get into mechanics. I'm pretty avare of how engine works, and how the systems on the car work (lots and LOTS of reading), but I never really had a chance to experiment. On the scale of 1-10 of how good u know your stuff, i'm somwhere between 2-3. Since it is a Honda, and if I screw something up, It's pretty cheap to replace a part (it is when u look at the other cars :-))
Back to my point. I wanna get some really good tools that are gonna last me. Which should I get, and where to buy em. I don't really want really cheap stuff.
Another question I had is, when u look at the manual, it says nut size, and then torque strenght for example: 1.0 kg-m, 7lb ft. How do you measure this when u are bolting something, do you just aproximate?
I know I will need an air gun, can u point me in some directions.
Plz, excue my noob questions but I hope u can help me.

SnapOn makes nice tools, there's others, too. I don't do this for a living, so I'll probably never wear out my haphazard collection of SnapOn, Craftsman, SK & whatever else. I've broken several sockets from the cheapie kmart set I got in high school.

You want a torque wrench. It measures how tight you're going. That's important because it's pretty easy to overtighten & break lots of stuff.

Yeah, work around the car only, not profesionally :-)
Any of you think I should buy craftsman from Sears, they seem to be good?
Also, what kind of engine crane should I get, If I decide to do swaps?
