Nail in tire...need advice ASAP!!!
I found this nail in my tire which is causing a slow leak and it's right at the edge. Will this be alright to plug??? Or should I use fix-a-flat???
It's worth a shot but I doubt it.
Just think about all the stress there. Think about that the next time you take a curve on the highway...
Tube it.

no reputable shop would plug or patch that....you can plug it and roll the dice on it blowing out, or replace the tire. do you have road hazard on them?

my sister ran over a nail bigger than that... we were very far from home at the time and someone put it under her tire while we were eating. we had no other choice but to have it plugged, and the plug lasted for almost a whole year. when it finally blew it was a steady leak, not a sudden blowout.
it wont blowout like a huge pop, but with the size you make the hole to put a plug in, when it comes out, it will lose all air probably in 15-20 seconds....and if ur at freeway speed, could result in a bad situation.
Flat out just eat it and buy a new tire. To run the risk of injury to yourself/others/your car why would you for 100 bucks. How much is the other option worth. If nothing else a ruined time being stranded or working on your car on the road is a pain in *** worth at least least 100 bucks. I know it sucks I had the same thing happen once to a brand new NT555r ouch. but what are you going to do.
make sure you have roadside assistance for back up! heres a great place with pretty legit prices considering..
