NA motor build question
I'm building my motor after this summer in the hopes of getting low 14's NA. It's a brown top ZC, I have throttle body, some pretty knarly cams and the usual bolt ons and I'm hitting 15.0, 14.9
I'm going to go with 10.5 comp. pistons I think but I was wondering if boring my motor out to increase displacement would yeild anymore power without a reworked head, and if I need head work to go with the larger displacement what do I need done?

How much bigger are you planning to bore it out? Most oversized pistons are made to work with the factory combustion chamber. You will see power gains from increasing the displacement without headwork, though you'll gain alot from getting the head ported.Low 14's shouldnt be a problem though. We had a mid 13 second NA ZC crx on a stock bottom end, just a ported head and some nasty reground cams.Car idled like a pro stock car.
I'm going to hijack my own post and ask you what suspension setup you had on that car? I've got some wicked cams right now, I got to have it idle at 1200 so it doesn't shake the **** out of my car. I've got a 1G CRX so there are no off the shelf traction bars available. I can get some stiffer springs thru Ground Control I believe. I have Eibach prokit right now and they suck.
