What's up?
Three days ago I had a new exedy O.E replacement clutch installed on my 03 RSX-S and the damn thing is starting to slip really bad. I took the my car back to the shop and the mechanic told me it's probably due to a defective clutch disc and he won't warranty anything because I brought the clutch kit to him. Does anyone know what the real problem might be. Thanks in advance.

The real problem is that is a garbage clutch. Sorry.

Did you beat on it? You're supposed to drive carefully for the first 500km.

I picked up the car from the shop, drove it home and everything was fine. The day after I drove it in some traffic and then got on it once traffic cleared and that's when the clutch started slipping. Maybe the clutch really is garbage. Any other ideas?
u should have went with a act SS or clutchmasters. when doing clutches go with a good brand

The clutch I replaced was an Exedy stage 2 and the thing was fine except for all the chatter, which was normal.

Do you have any free play in the pedal?

That could be the problem. Maybe the clutch isnt releasing all the way.

yea check the slave cyclinder to make sure its not putting tension on the fork at rest. Otherwise go with a better clutch.
