Default is my motor blown?

while i am driving whitish smoke comes out of the exhaust when i shift. The check engine light is flashing non stop. I jumped the maintenance wires together and pulled a code 71, 72 and 74. Engine misfires. What does this mean?

Probably your headgasket. Look at your oil and you can tell. Did your car overheat badly?

no overheating prob yet. car seems to drive with the same power as before. But the smoke coming out the exhaust is alot. Plus the flashing ecu thingy has me concerned. What else could cause these symptons?

To answer your question:

Your car wouldnt be running right if it was blown so ''no'' your motor isnt blown

Most likely your headgasket. Keep an eye on your coolant. See if its blowing outta the reservoir or turning a weird color.

white = coolant
blue = oil
black = running rich as hell

those CEL codes all refer to O2 sensor rich/lean. meaning mixtures are bad due to smoke. With CEL blinking, this is the ECU's way of telling you that you have a catalyst damaging misfire (only reason CEL would blink steadily)

Also, you can have a blown headgasket and not have intemix of oil in coolant or coolant in oil.

have you performed a wet/dry compression test of all cylinders yet?

this would be a good starting point for your diagnosis...

let us know what you find...

get a hydrocarbon tester to test youre coolant. if its posative you have a blown head gasket and its time to tear off the head.
