LOL i said ok don't think that is the problem but whatever i picked up the car drove it home turned it off.. it sat for about 3 hours went to leave again.. turn key nothing... now im getting pissed... called acura again they picked up the car took it to the dealer they said it started fine theres no problem that they can see so they said to come and pick up the car.. then i really got pissed because i know there is something wrong with the car but since they are all numnuts over ther unless their is a check engine light they don't know anything because the computer won't tell them... so now i took the car home.. it started ok about 5-6 times parked it last night started it up in the morning to make sure that it would start up before waiting until it was time to head out to work started up fine.... time to goto work comes around i goto my car turn key nothing.... peice of #$@!#.... so now my car is stuck at home and won't start and dosen't even try to start you just turn the key and thats it no noise nothing.. anyone ever had this happen to them if so whats was the issues.. any ideas would help.. i checked the fuses they are ok... battery is new.... and the starter is tight!!!LOL sonamum bitch... so now i turned to the experts you guys cause acura dosen't know their *** from their heads..
thanks!
thanks!
check your main relay, check your fuses, check your fuel pump check your fuel filter, check your fuel pressure regulator. hopefully it's one of these and you can fix it yourself in an afternoon. may wanna try resetting your ECU, too.
good luck d00d.
PS, try typing in paragraphs or something...that ****'s hard to read.

If you have an alarm, it can cause the problem you are describing. Many alarms have a starter kill function, and if the person who installed the alarm did a poor job of wiring, it can cause an open circuit to the starter. The quality of many aftermarket alarm relays are also questionable (the relays are used in the starter kill circuit).
To verify if the problem is wiring or the starter itself, try the following:
First duplicate the problem-get the car not to start. Then find the single small diameter wire going to the starter and unplug it. If your car is an automatic, make sure that it is in park ; if it is a manual trans. , make sure that it is in neutral. Get a jumper wire and apply battery voltage to the terminal on the starter where the small wire was plugged in. If the engine now cranks over, the problem is in the wiring between the battery and the starter (most likely an aftermarket alarm). If the engine does not crank, you probably have a bad starter.
Note: many starting problems are just a loose battery cable. Check your battery cable connections carefully-even though you just replaced the battery.

I have the same problem.
When it will not start, the radio, the lights and everything electric works except the fuel pump. I do not hear it do the initial pump when turning the key to the 2nd click. After trying to get it to start a few times it will then power the fuel pump, (now you can hear the pump) turn over and then start.
I also notice that on the highway and sometimes on the street the car is just kind of jerky, even though a constant application of gas by my foot is being applied it feels as if the amout of fuel being delivered isn't constant, making the engine feel sluggish and jerky, after a couple of moments this goes away adn the car feels normal again.

Your problem sounds like the PGM-FI main relay. If the car cranks and won't start, I suspect that to be your problem. The fact that you don't hear your fuel pump is very telling. Replace it or have all of the solder joints on the circuit board of the relay resoldered.
main fuel relay!! they are a problem with all honda's they go bad from time to time. change that and it should fix your problem. when i worked at honda i changed alot of them.

I had the same problem but it wasn't the main relay that turned out to be the problem. Apparently the bottom bolt that holds on the distributor had come off. The only reason I figured it out was because my friend was leaning over my engine with his hand on the distributor while I turned the key and the fuel pump came on. Took his hand off, tried again and no fuel fump. Replaced the bolt and it started everytime
The chances of this being your problem are pretty low but you might wanna check it out anyway. A loose bolt would cause the same problem.

honestly that would not have a thing to do with your car starting!!!! my car only has 1 bolt holding in my distributor so i can change the timing, the bottom two aent even there.

this has nothing to do with the fuel system.. he said that the motor wont turn over at all....ive had all those fuel system problems.....the motor still turns though...he said nothing at all happens which means there is a short somewhere or one of the start relays is going bad or could even just be a loose connection....check the starter and follow the wires....good luck
