My damn stud!
I was at the AutoX today and everything was gravey and at the end of the day i was switching back to my street tires and snap, off brakes one of my wheel studs. I had it torqued to 80 ft/lbs with my torque wrench and all. The lug nut felt just fine when i had put it on but maybe it was the slightest bit at and angle so that could have done it.
Now to the problem, I went to auto zone and got the right stud blah, blah. Took off the rotor and all and was hammering the broken stud out (toward the middle of the car) and I find out that the hub blocks the stud from comming out by about 2 mm. WTF!!! I looked in the helms manual and the only way I can see to get the hub off is to take off the whole front suspension and get some special tool and press out all these bearings and it looks like a big mess. Does anyone have any advice. BTW this is on a 00 Si, but I assume honda made life hell for everyone. Im driving slowly on 3 lugs right now, but I dont like it so I would like to get this fixed as soon as possible. Sorry for the long post.
Thanks.

for the most part, you might have to press the hub away from the knuckle. but, i believe you can either shave the hub off slightly (not the best idea but might work) or since the stud is already broken, buy a dremel from home depot, cut the base of the stud off and push the stud forward, away from the car. and after you're done, return the dremel to home depot.
I just got a response back from a guy on clubsi saying that there is a specific spot on the hub that is shaved down from the factory so that the stud may slide out easily. Can anyone back up this info before I pull all the **** back off. Thanks!
