Default mugen COPY strut bars

Dont flame me on this one, but has anyone had actual experience with these ones on Ebay. For an Ebay performance product, it actually looks pretty heavy duty. Also it is an 8 point design. I know that they are going to be better than DC sports crappy/flexy products.

for those who have not seen

or here are a few on ebay

anyone?

BTW, no I don't want it just because it has a mugen sticker on it, I just want a strut bar that is both affordable and will increase body stiffness. I would perfore it without actually.

Suspension is a part of tech isn't it? Yes I know that they are not mugen bars, and I would try to remove the mugen sticker. I just want a affordable, stiff strut bar. I would love the carbing stage 2 or 3 bars but that is a little much. I want something cheap and strong. I know that those are sometime oxymorons (sp?) but I will try. I want Tech advice about these strut bars. I see suspension as tech, not the same catigory as "what neons should I get? "

I'm not dissing you...
I'm dissing the fact that this egay seller is false advertising the bar titleing it:

"92-95 Honda Civic MUGEN Front Strut Brace Bar"

when he should be stating "MUGEN-LIKE" or "Mugen replica".....

your introductory sentence doesn't quite make your post very 'tech' related:

"Dont flame me on this one, but has anyone had actual experience with these ones on Ebay"

... that doesn't look 'tech' related to me, seems like your post should be in the 'Appearance/Cosmetic' forum. Not hating on you, just making a comment about your general post. I don't think there's such a thing as 'cheap & strong'...yer sound like JPL/NASA with their 'better, faster, cheaper' scpheel.....and look what happened a few years ago..... a billion taxpayer cash-money is sitting on the surface of Mars. lol.....sorry for having an extreme comparison to a strut bar, but if you want good stuff it costs some $$$. You get what you pay for.

Get your mugen-like bar, i have nothing against that or you. My statement was that your post wasn't tech related; sounds more 'should I buy this or not' related.

wow...im fawkin bored today.

Actually, the first generation of these Mugen strut bars did have the hinge style endlinks, and no mugen plaque at all, only a mugen sticker. I use to have one a while back. But from those replica pics, the bar has too much of a shiney aluminum look to it and not the OG bronzy-brushed titanium color the mugen bars have.

See this is what I wanted to hear, actuall info on why these are good or not. I am not trying to pic a fight here. Also, again, I dont care if they are Mugen knock offs or APC knocks offs, as long as they are sturdy and stiff, that is all I care about. I wouldn't give a Sh*t, what kinda of sticker they had on them. Also I have had experience where the most expensive crap is not alway the best or better than the cheaper version. MSD wires are rated all good but why waste tons of money when OEM honda wires produce the adiquite amount of current to the sparkplug. I was wondering if this was the same argument. According to the hinged argument, It is not true.

Finally I dont want it because it has a mugen sticker on it so now I can go braging I have a *cough "mugen" *cough par in my car. As long as something works, I dont car what brand it is.

to all you hard core brand name guys, my brother emerika happens to have one and it works great. Way better than the neuspeed or suspension techniques. He has all 8 points mounted and it works like a champ. He just peeled the fake mugen sticker off. If you only wanna spend $50 its worth it....its better than the DC at twice that price. Who cares if its a copy or whatever. If the equipment works, use it! Oh yeah, he also auto crosses with that bar, way better steering control around the tight corners.

Finally, some people that share my POV. If it works then it works, regarless of brand and the price is better too. I always hated the flimsy feel of DC although they had a good look. These tower bars do look real good though. What bar is Emerica using? Pics? Besides there are just as many flimsy Japanese parts as there are American parts.

He is using the Mugen copy that comes with the "Mugen Power" sticker in the middle.

I use to have that mugen copy-cat strut bar, the only thing I didn't like about that strut bar is that it hits my hood everytime I close it. I bought it for about $60 awhile back but go rid of it and got a neuspeed one-piece for $80 which is hella better.

as a genaral rule for myself, if its not solid its not good. thats not true for all bars. but just a general rule. usually a crappy one peice bar is better than a higher quality bar with brackets. just my thoughts.

You forgot this is H-t; this board is all about being jdm. We all hate the fake stuff because a $300 strut bar has a better value-to-performance ratio than that $60 one.
