Hi, I have a jun muffler that I'm not willing to part with just yet, but all the packing material inside flew out over time and now it does'nt sound right, it kinda looks like steel wool. I want to know if any of you have rebuilt or repacked mufflers before? What can I use or should use? I know it can be rebuilt but jun USA does'nt exist anymore
Thanks
Thanks
don't forget the muffler bearing next time, then it won't fly out
seriously though, it would be a lot easier, and overall just a much better idea, to just buy a new muffler, they aren't really designed to have things inside them replaced, you just replace it as a unit when it's life is through.

Yeah it probably would be easier to replace, but it still looks like new and sounded great when I got it, I also got it because it is rebuildable (by jun USA) but they no longer exist, and I like to do things myself. I know how to take it apart, I just need to know what I can repack it with?
