Well this is odd....
Well I got myself a used Thermal Research Development muffler about 3 years ago and have it custom installed. The muffler was in perfect condition when I got it. Until recently, I notice rusts on the welds of the muffler..... then this happens:

The rust seems to get to break the connection between the tip and the body of the muffler.
Well can this be welded back? Or i have to replace this for sure?
BTW, I can see the metal meshing exposed from that break.

I noticed that on my old Thermal muffler and never thought twice about it. A few months later the muffler tip fell off while I was driving.
You prbably could weld it but I noticed on mine the insides were all rusted also, so I think you would be better off just buying a new muffler.
