Default Muffler Decision

I'm getting a custom exhaust made pretty soon and i'm wondering what would be a good muffler to use. I've been looking at the 5zigen's and Apexi's and they seem soo expensive. Are there any other mufflers that would deliver an equal level of performance for cheaper??? Or a similar sound???

Isn't it flowmaster allot of the custom exhaust crowd goes with? You could get one off eBay.

When it comes down to mufflers, to me it is all name brands, as long as it has a flow through design, it is fine,

If you are all motor, it will sound really loud and annoying after a couple of weeks of driving, If you have a turbo, thats a different story,

OBX has been putting out product for a few years now, they make good parts at great prices, They are realistic, and keep the price fair, That would be my choice,

All the other companies well, its all name, I mean have you ever seen dyno charts for mufflers, If it is a straight through design, they will be very similar,
Just make sure you have enough backpressure if you are all motor,

OBX would be what I would go with, non turbo

For my turbo car I put a $30 trush exhaust made by dynomax,

Looks alright. Do you have 2 1/4" piping? Most any decent muffler shop could weld it on and hang it for you.

yea i think i'm gonna try to go for the sleeper look. I really like the look of the 5zigen fireball muffler, but its just too expensive and i don't want some huge *** muffler anywayz.
