Default MSD Soft Touch Rev limiter questions?

Anyone know if the MSD 6AL soft touch rev limiter modules overide the ECU redline fuel cut off. I would think that it doesnt but I am not sure?

Default Re: MSD Soft Touch Rev limiter questions? (Zynentech)

No it doesn't. its simply a spark stopper at a given rpm. It doesn't increase ecu rev limit...only able to cut it short. No way around upping the rev limit without doing something with the ecu. It is however a very good device to have. when fuel is still in the cylinder to burn...a fuel cutoff isn't effective nor reliable at keeping its rev limit at its quoted rpm. Cut spark and your not burning anything.
