I just bought a msd digital sci from summit, and I installed it in my swapped ek hatch, and now my car won't start. I hooked it up the same way I read it in the instruction manual, from various searches I looked up here on h-tech,I also looked @ the how to on c-speedracing.com. Everything is hooked up correctly. I checked, double checked, and triple checked and the car still wont start. It just cranks and won't turn over. DO you guys think I need the tach adapter from msd. What do you guys think can be the problem.PLEASE HELP ME OUT. my swap is a b18c1 in a 1997 cx hatchbatch

check for spark. if you have spark throught your wires then your plugs are wrong. i had that problem. you cant run platinum plugs with msd. only copper core plugs

I am running platinum plugs. i'll change them and try again. Also would the plug wires have something to do with the car not starting.Msd says you have to use heli-core wires.
tach adapter is not needed...
check to see if you are getting spark. unplug one of the spark plug wires from the spark plug and stick a screwdriver in it. lay it over something metal in the engine bay, but not touching it, and have someone crank over the motor. you should see the spark jumping from the screwdriver to the metal.
if you can see the spark jumping then your msd is installed right. problem lays elsewhere.

did that and there is spark, could be a problem with the msd, because i put it back stock and the car started right up.

yep. the units usually come from the factory for 8 cylinders. Cut the first loop for a 6 cylinder and cut both loops for a 4 cylinder. Read the directions......

msd says for honda applications u don't need to cut the loop. I'll give it a try anyways.

the digital sci only comes with one loop. msd says they come set for 4 cylinders.
