Default Moving fuel filter

Hey guy's, I am getting ready to start my direct port nitrous setup but want to do a few things first to clean up the engin bay a little bit

I would like to get rid of the fuel filter that is mounted on the fire wall and do an inline fuel filter, I assume since it is just rubber line going to the fuel filter from the pump I could just use a aeromotive or jeg's or one of the hundreds of other inline fuel filters and mount it underneath the car in a safe place right??

Also right now I have a fuel pressure gauge that the previous owner mounted on top of the fuel filter that I would like to keep, Can I just move the gauge closer to the rail with something like a T fitting right at the fuel rail OR should I tap the rail??
Actually now that I think about it there is already an aftermarket fuel rail on the car and at the end of it is a screw on cap to release pressure from the system should I need to work on it, Can I just get a fitting to go on the end of that and mount the gauge there or will I not get a proper reading since it will be at the end of the rail furthest away from where the fuel comes in???

What do you guy's do when you install a fuel pressure gauge inside the car,"IE" where do you mount the sender???
Any help is appreciated

Thanks guy's
Mike G

Can someone just let me know if my thinking is correct with just doing an inline fuel filter along with the associated steel braided line and A/N fittings??

Yes you can use an inline filter.
Yes, get a fitting for the fuel rail and install the FPG on the rail.

Where a sending unit, [or FPG] is mounted depends on what FP you want to read, fuel pump pressure, or fuel rail pressure, [before or after FPR] . 94

I would think that fuel rail pressure would be more benneficial to monitor that pressure right at the pump right?
