Default MOTORCYCLE RACE MUFFLER ON A CAR?

I saw a civic hatch with a motorcycle racing slip on muffler. Is there any performance gain and how would that sound? if you think about it , they are staight through and have a 2 1/4 piping so i guess can be less restictive that a stock muffler right. just curious to see waht you guys think. I think it stupid but each there own
