Default motor with problems. need some information pics !!

okay so its a 92 eg hatch with a b18b1 in it. ive had a few running issues with the car. my friend looked at it and said the vaccum hoses were correct but im starting to think he was wrong.
the evap canister that eventually feeds to the fuel pressure regulator isnt capped its open. the small tube doesn't go to anywhere.

here are pics of whats up with the rest of it.
this is the tube for something coming out of the intake manifold right under throttle it travels thru a bit of tubing for no reason then connects directly under the heater hose. (excuse my makeshift wires. the previous owner messed it up.)

im assuming it should hook up thru the evap canister but how is the correct way to do it.

and the top of it. sensor on top hooks to intake and im going to reroute that filter to the cold air when winters over

thanks for any help. maybe im missing something here.

Depending where you are, you can remove all that crap. To test to see if it is indeed the vac hookup, unplug the purge line on top of the throttle body and cap the port there. Also, unpluge the purge solenoid behind the intake manifold and unplug and cap the vac line on the manifold. Obd1 doesnt give a check engine with the solenoid unplugged. If it still runs bad, then spray carb cleaner around the throttle and manifold/bloc to check for leaks.

It also looks like the radiator fan switch green wire is about to pull out as well. It wouldnt cause issues with how its running now, but could cause some later.
