I need to see if anyone can help me out. I have a 96 supercharged civic coupe with gsr motor. My only problem is:

When I take off in first and punch it, the car runs fine all the way to 8000 rpms. But when I shift into 2nd and punch it again the call runs up to about 6400 rpms and starts acting like it is redlining. It does the same when i shift into 3rd and forth. Also, while I am riding and it starts to do this, I can turn the car off and then right back on and it will run up to 8000. Only in the gear it is in though. Any help is appreciated. Oh, and I am running a Vafc-1.
