Ok I'm looking at a motor that my bud has at his shop im supposed to get and I believe him cause he knows his stuff. Now I'm just checking for my own knowledge n concern, im told its a jdm itr motor 96-97 spec... The block says B18C and has a stamp says "WIN" circled dont know what that means but anyways onto the head it say PR3-2 on it and then on the normal spot/circle that tells you the year it says 9/5 on it... So im wondering what this means ive read quite a few things on this and from what ive seen its a B16A head but i could be wrong i would like to know so that i wont overpay for this swap thanks

 

could be a 96 R motor. only real way to tell would be to look at the intake ports or crank.

 

Ok I'm sure the bottom end is a Itr bottom end but the top side says 95 on it I know Itr n jdm b16head cast are the same but I thought Itr motors started in 96

 

doesn't mean they couldn't have taken a 95 head to use. my friend's 96 ls has a 95 head on it (motor has never been touched)

 

Well the intake cam that the dizzy connects to it would have a tell tale sign of Itr right like 3little rings? N as far as the ports the would be polished?
