Default misfire codes

hi guys, quick question for ya. i had installed an adjustable fuel regulater, adjustable cam gear and a cold air intake on my car. I took it to get a dyno tunning, and when it was done and i was driving it home, and the check engine light came on. I pulled the codes and got numbers 71-74 which are a misfire codes for every cylinder. I took the car back to the dyno they checked everything out and cleared the codes, and it came right back on. now they tell me to ignore these codes because of the adjustments made, it is normal for them to come up. I wanted to know if this is normal, or are they blowing smoke up my butt. also what can i do to get rid of these and what should i be looking for, if they are cause for concern. thanks guys... gloria

codes?? you got codes??? when did this occur? have you recently gone to the dyno after you put the original head back on? or was this before?
maybe you have too little timing and the fpr was adjusted improperly, check you gaps on the spark plugs.
also have you put a new tank of gas since you have been working on the car?
it could also be your distributer and/or rotor, the seal could have gone bad, or moisture got in there, it could also be your icm

WTF? Who the hell did you take it to?

I'd laugh and smack the **** out of them for saying it's normal for adjustments.

I honestly don't know how you 'tune' a car that is mildy modified at a shop, and get misfire codes. I just think it's funny.

Check your ignition timing, check your spark plugs, check internals of the distributor, and adjust your FPR to about 42 PSI at WOT and you'll be fine.

What year and model? Some have ECUs that cause false misfire codes.

That may be the problem. If it has less than 150,000 miles, any CEL problem should be repaired by the dealer under the emmision warranty extension. (Unless it has been modified alot.)

even when i had my cel's i took it to the dealer, a bunch of b.s. they charge you $70 to bring up the code then they say if it actually an emissions problem then its covered under warranty, but once they see that she has a adjustable fpr, adjust cam gear, theyre gonna tell her that its not covered.
happened to me when all i had was intake, and header. since i "modified" it they dont cover those problems.
