mis firing system?
Can you provide a link to what it is you're talking about?
The misfire system that was introduced to the 6th gens (96-00) uses the CKF sensor (located on the oil pump) along with the distributor sensors to detect which cylinder is misfiring. The ECU knows when a misfire occurs because the crankshaft will slow down which shows up in the CKF output, then it just uses the dizzy sensors to sort out which cylinder was the culprit.
It doesn't give a jolt or any Hp/Tq advantages, it was an emmisions thing used to save the catalytic converter, as misfires will eventually kill them.

No, it's something he heard on Initial D.
It means that he's dumping a lot of fuel during the shift, then igniting it so a big pulse of exhaust blows out to keep the turbo spooled up. It's not something you want unless you want your exhaust pipe and muffler to be a maintenance part. And forget about your cat converter.
Does nothing but make terrible noises on NA. People do it to blow fire out their exhaust pipe. It's quite retarded. Turbo only, for race cars only where it's allowed.
It can be done with the AEM EMS.

Isnt that similar to a 2-step? Where the timing is retarded so much that it the fuel is actually ignited in the manifold, allowing you to build a lot of boost in neutral and before a launch?
i heard of it on initial d but that was quite a while ago and didint care, but some guy i just started talking to told me that he wants to get 1 on his 99 1.8t gti. he said that it gives an extra push when u shift
