Mini Me ECU HELP!!!
okay, heres the rundown
99 civic 4 door
d16y8 head on d16y7 block
the shop who did the mini me used a p2t 99-00 civic si (dohc vtec) and told me it would be perfectly fine no problems at all..... well i beg to differ, the car ran like garbage especially when vtec was supposed to crossover it felt more like a fluctuation in power. but again and again they said it wasnt an issue. so i decided to source the correct ecu out of the 99 civic ex. after plugging this new ecu in the car ran great imo. smooth powerband no dip in power. now i have an issue with a high idle so i called up the shop and they have been telling me to put the p2t ecu back in because its a "better" ecu and im like "wtf" now my question is why would these ppl who are supposed to be a good shop tell me to run a DOHC vtec ecu on my mini me motor ?????
thanks for any help

first off, don't go back there.
p2T on a mini-me swap = good ECU to limp the car somewhere, not to run well.
P2P or P28 = correct ECU
(P28 would require jumper harness)
which IACV did they use? the Y7's three wire or the more typically ued two wire?
