mini front mud flaps
Does anyone know what function the mini mudflaps have on newer cars? They are in front of the tires and are very small. I would guess they are for aerodynamics.
I am looking for small things I can do to make my car get better mpg. And if adding a little piece barely noticeable rubber will help, why not?
They might put them on newer cars to keep the car cleaner. I don't know. But if that's the case then I wouldn't bother.

LOL they are not on a mini. I should have called them small mudflaps. If you pull up a picture of a 2012 forester, you can see what I,m talking about. They are small mudflaps that sit in front of the tires instead of behind.
Perhaps I should join an MPG modification forum.

You see, I misread that. Thought you just didn't capitalize. Those don't look like mudflaps to me. Just a design cue. Aesthetics that serve no real purpose.
