the guy at the smog station said my timing was advanced 30 degrees. when i got home and checked it, the timing was way advanced via the crank pully. so i retarded the **** out of it(as far as dizzy would let me) and got it almost lined up. when i started the car it ran like **** and threw code 9(cylinder position sensor). what should i do now ?
how do i go about re-setting the timing now and fixing the juped tooth? im hoping the code 9 will go away when i fix this

my cam gears say pr3. arnt those b16 cam gears? im assuming the cams are also b16... i tried to put everything TDC when re-doing the belt and i couldnt get the intake cam to stay straight up. it wanted to spring forward. so it is about one tooth forward just like how it was before i touched it. my car is WAY jumpy when i first start driving. after it lurches a few times i throw code 9, then the car stops jerking. much less power now too. either i have the wrong cams in there or my dizzy is bad? i dunno. this is a b18b by the way. help me out!

to reset ignition timing on any honda 96 and below there is a 2 pin connector under ur dashboard on the passanger side that jus hangs loose u have to jump it with a paper clip to let the ecu reset itself....... find that connector jump and then play with that dizzy. to find out if ur timing belt has jumped a tooth... well ur car would fall on its face...

do i align the notches in the gear and ignore the arrows? because when the arrows are facing straight up, the notches are miss-aligned.

wow i didnt know that. im such a newb....
i found a nice trick to getting the cam gears to stay aligned when putting a new timing belt on; C-Clamps! i took off my dizzy and put it back on and noticed the connectors were kinda jacked. pluged them back on nice and tight after i re-did the timing and wallaaa, no more code 9.
this really kicked my *** tho. notice the blood stain on the intake cam gear in the picture lol. those things are sharp as a ***** !@#$a
