Default Mid Mount CRX???

Iv have had this crazy idea running through my head for the last few months about fabricating a mid mount CRX. I want to post it here so I can either find reasons to go through with it or trash it and move onto something a little more feasible. Why am I doing this? Because I want to thats why. I must say now, I haven't done much research on on the subject (mainly because of lack of material), other than studying the gemini type projects and the one AWD CRX with the CRV drive tran, so please try to keep the flaming to a minimum.

One, I would like to stick to the original rear suspension, unlike the gemini project which just fabs the front end of a civic into the rear of the del sol. This is mainly possible because the rear barrings are exactly the same as the fronts i.e., a set hubs that can except axials can be swapped into the rear. All thats left (I think?) is to port the trailing arms to accept axials. I can use stock B-series axials because the rear wheel base is the same as the front. Keep in mind Im using as SI so i have disk brake trailing arms.

Im not sure which motor to go with as far as it being B, H, or K series. I know if I use B I will have trouble hooking up the shift linkage because its on the rear of the transmission. If I use H I think I have to get custom axials which equal more money, but at least the cable shift linkage is easier to hook up. -which, BTW Im trying to keep this as low cost as I possibly can.... yes I know how stupid that sounds, please bear with me. As for K, I have no freekin idea.

I will have to do the obvious stuff like build a fire wall behind the seats and run radiator hose up to the front and get stiffer springs, shocks and sway bar in the rear, relocate a fabricated gas tank etc etc etc. The few things that I think will send this idea fleeing from my brain is: will the rear 'part' of the CRX be able to support, with reasonable reinforcement, the torque of a built turbo whatever (ya did I mention that part?) without twisting itself into a pretzel. What is involved in placing axials. When I place the axials, will the inner lower control arm chassis ties get in the way of the differential part of the transmission and the inner axial cups. Can I swap a front shock and spring assembly to the rear as to utilize the damper fork or does it seem within reason to get one fabed. and will the trailing arms center pivots be able to hold torque without snapping with reasonable modification.

As for weight distribution changing.... I don't really know what would happen.

Iv posted this on several forums.
All input welcome
