Mid engine civic/integra question
I have seen several mid engine civic/del sol/integra conversions recently. The one thing I see in all of them is that they cut out the rear floor and weld in the front subframe of a different car. This makes it so that the rear suspension is essentially a front suspension, mounted in the back of the car. I would think that without some serious suspension tuning, the handling would be kinda weird.
Couldn't you just use the trailing arms from a CRV, Wagovan or jdm awd Civic and make a custom subframe to mount the engine?

Re: Mid engine civic/integra question
*I HOPE THIS IS THE CORRECT PLACE FOR THIS, SORRY IF NOT..IM NEW HERE LOL*
I just recently bought a 1991 Honda civic wagovan as a little project, body is good for its age, but could use a bit more "get there"...
Now my question is...My girlfriend has a 2008 honda civic that some ******* smashed into, crushing the back end pretty good, it is considered totaled.
So before we scrap it, I was wondering..Could I swap out my 91 wagovan motor for the 08 motor..or would it be too big?
Any info would be great, thanks.
