Default Metal Shaving in Engine Oil

Today I changed my oil and i foun little bits of metal shavings in it. This is the first time i seen it.

I was wondering is it normal to get a little bit of metal shavings in your oil?

I mean there are those magnetic drain plugs so im guessing its normal to have a little, im just thinking its normal ware.

Thanks

a little metal isn't too bad, just keep an eye on it. Depending on your driving it may just be wear and tear. If they are gold in color (like brass) I would worry. Bearings just appear to be silver but they are really brass. Therefore if you find gold shavings you could have spun a bearing. My d16z6 had metal on the drain plug on every oil change for like 40k miles and never had a porblem, until i snapped a rod
