Default Mechanical Oil Gauge Install with Isolator ?

I have a quick question before I buy the Autometer Pressure Gauge Isolator for my Mechanical Oil Gauge - So does this prevent you from losing oil in case of a leak at the gauge or the fittings?

Anyone here runs one of these isolators with their mech. oil gauge?

This keeps the engine oil out of the drivers compartment. Not as much of an issue as fuel in the driver compartment. You can still have an oil leak, it just won't spray hot oil on your legs.

Hmmm I am curious as to how these work - So how does the (Mechanical) Oil Pressure gauge get a reading if the Isolator keeps oil out or how does it know when there is a leak on the one end of the line that goes to the gauge???

Its oil from he engine up to the isolator. Then is a sealed fluid from the isolator to the guage.

i-so-late:To place in a detached or separate situation;set apart.

It doesn't know anything about a leak other than it would show less or no pressure on the diaphragm in the isolator and show that on the guage.
