Max Xtreme pressure plate?
Anybody have any experience with the ACT max xtreme pressure plate? Stiffer pedal then the xtreme pressure plate? I'm asking because a local guy is selling it for dirt cheap. Its brand new.
Whats the application. There isn't enough ifo to support your question. Engine, horsepower, all motor , turbo ,ETC. what type of racing, street car, what disc are you going to use?

Thanks, but what clutch is best for my setup is not the question. i just want to know what is the diffenence between the max extreme pressure plate compare to the xtreme pressure plate. Pedal stiffness any difference? I know the xtreme pressure plate will handle whatever my stock b20 vtec turbo can throw at it already, but I can get an act xxr6 for $100 buck less then the an act xtr6. i just don't want sonething that is going to be too stiff of a pedal for the street. I already have and xtreme pp with street disc already in my sohc and I like how the xtreme pp feels like.

I not trying to tell you what clutch is best for your set-up...I'm trying to figure out if you need a maxx extreme pressure plate. The maxx extreme pressure plate is actaully lighter on the pedal than the extreme pp due to the design of the diaphram. The extreme pp uses a really thick diaphram to hold pressure and the Maxx extreme uses a special pressed process on the fingers on the diaphram to hold the pressure without using to much pedal effort. The Extreme pp for the SOHC is alot softer than the Extreme pp for the DOHC...so thats not a good comparison. This is all from experience and not hear say...I was sponsored by ACT 2 years ago and I've used them all before changing to someone else's clutch.
I guess I didn't really answer your question...I would use the Maxx extreme pp because it can hold more power with less pedal effort than the Extreme pp. By the way, I loved all ACT clutches for street use until I started making alot of power, they held everything I could throw at it

Thanks for your information. My brother have an ACT xtreme pp on his turbo GSR, so I know how it feels. I guess I'll just get the max xtreme then.
