Default master cylinder swap question

i have a 95 civic ex. my MC is starting to go so I'm going to be replacing it soon. The question is this. Can I swap out for an integra non-abs MC even though I have not done any other brake mods yet? I was thinking perhaps this may help out a bit before I upgrade the braking system. Or do you think it would be a waste. All opinions appreciated.

TIA.

Upgrading to an integra MC AND Booster is an excellent upgrade. If I ran Honda, all civic/crx/integra's would all have a 1" integra mc/booster!

I dont think you can just use an integra MC on your civic booster; you might have fitment issues. You'd need to use an Integra booster as well. Actually you might as well upgrade both parts to the integra booster and MC...together...work a lot better than your civic mc/booster. You can easily tell an integra booster from a civic booster apart; the integra booster is thicker/bigger than the civic's booster.

Have i said 'booster' enought time already ? sheesh..

booster...GO...
(mars and mysterE track, save the rave) sorry

i have the lude non ABS MC and booster, a great upgrade, you already have the beefier rotors and calipers, so the MC will increase the feel of the pedal. some brakeline bending will be needed. i'll snap some pictures of the MC and the brakes if you guys need.

thanks for the reply... another question though. will this be a simple swap or will some modification be neccessary because of the bigger size of the MC & booster?

sure booster, post up some pics if you got them. i haven't heard of using the lude MC & booster yet. out of curiousity, why did you go with the lude as opposed to the integra MC & booster?

its a str8 forward swap....you might need to modify some hardlines though.

Is there a difference between the non abs and abs gsr mc/booster? Would i only need to bend the hardlines or would i also need to cut and re-flare any of the ends? As of now i have gsr front suspension and brakes on a 92 civic and i was planning to finally put in the gsr mc/booster. I havent had time to do this before but since ill be installing my skunk2 manifold this weekend, i figured it would be a good time. I also need to install the gsr rear suspension and disc brake upgrade, which have been collecting dust. Do you guys know which proportional valve would make it an easier install? Thanks in advance...

oh and.. to JDMHondaparts for the skunk2 manifold. Out of three places that i called, they were the only one to have it in stock.

Actually I believe you may be able to use the Integra RS booster and master cylinder. It was the correct angle for the hard brake lines so that you dont have to bend/modify any.

there is no difference between the ABS and nonABS master/booster, either one will work fine. you will need to bend hard lines no matter what you get. if you get a 98+ master/booster, then you will not have to reflare anything. if you get a pre-98 then you will have to reflare the back fitting.
