Default Map Sensor Problem

On my Boosted 01 GSR when I have either the stock map sensor or the GM 3-bar plugged in my car will not rev past like 1500 rpm and will die within seconds after starting up.
I have Hondata S100 with boost and I am supposed to have the 3bar enabled on my unit. The funny thing is that when I unplug the map sensor the car will rev up and actually runs a lot better than with one of them plugged in.

It stills bucks and runs crappy but it runs. Anyone know whats up?

Okay so I checked my codes tonite and it just keeps flashin the same code.
It is a code 10. When I plug in my map sensor my car will barely even start and not rev past 700rpm. When I unplug it and start the car it runs fairly decent besides really rich.

What can be the problem. A code 10 is the IAT sensor not the map.

Is it possible that you crossed the connectors for the MAP and TPS sensors? That would give you symptoms like you are experiencing, with the exception of the code.

Both connectors are 3 pin grey plastic connectors (interchangeable), the wires are the same color with the exception of the red/blue wire to the TPS, which corresponds to the white/red wire to the MAP sensor.

Looking at an ETM for a 96 Teg:
Map wires-Red/Green---Yellow/Red---Green/White.
TPS-Yellow/Blue---Red/Black---Green/Black.
What year is your car?

Oh.Duh. I just reread your first post
Wire colors for 01 are the same.
If you are not sure, just swap the connectors and see if it changes anything-it won't damage anything if they are crossed.
I was just looking at an Integra harness that I have, the TPS is the Blue plastic connector, the MAP is the Grey connector.

yeah they are connected correctly. I think that my map is just bad. Any ideas on what to do? I don't want to pay $200 for a map when I already have a brand new 3 bar sitting here for my hondata when I get it tuned.

You can use a 2000-03 Acura TL MAP sensor-#37830-P8E-S00-it's about $50 retail, it's what I used when my MAP took a dump.
